Just think, in 26 days it will be Thanksgiving and then less than a month from Thanksgiving it will be......no, wait a minute, I can't go there yet. Anyway, back to Turkey Day.
Yesterday, I showed you how to make a really cute and really easy Thanksgiving Serving Stand (here). Now I'm moving on to my mantel....
Since August I have been collecting turkey ceramics at the thrift store with this project in mind.
I don't have a tutorial for this project but it really simple.
- Find some ceramic turkey decorations
- Start by spraying with a primer and then spray with a gold spray paint of your liking. I like Zinsser Cover Stain Primer and Rust-Oleum Metallic Finish in Gold.
That's it. Simple right?
Then place your turkeys where ever you want a little bit of Thanksgiving decor. I chose to arrange them all together on my mantel, moving them around until I came up with an arrangement I liked.
Till next time...
Thanks for visiting,
I love these painted gold. Great idea!
